Reverend Dr. Curtis E. Edmonds, Jr. serves the Lord in His call to ministry through preaching and teaching biblical truth and leading those who seek salvation into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Dr. Edmonds is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, and is the son of Bishop and Mrs. Curtis Edmonds, Sr. He is a proud product of Portsmouth Public Schools and an honor graduate of the historic I.C. Norcom High School. Dr. Edmonds firmly believes that education, when coupled with faith and perseverance, unlocks the door to success.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. He received his Master of Divinity degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University and later earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Transformational Preaching from New Brunswick Theological Seminary.

 

Ministry Journey

Dr. Edmonds has been involved in holistic ministry throughout his life and has faithfully served in numerous capacities within the church, including Trustee Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Brotherhood Ministry, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Athletics Ministry, and as an HR Advisor. He previously served on the ministerial staff as an Associate Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he was licensed and ordained under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Aaron L. Dobynes, Sr.

Family

Dr. Edmonds is married to the former Patrice Wilson, affectionately known to the Mount Olive family as Lady Patrice. Together they are the proud parents of three talented, exceptional, and accomplished children: Curtis, Kenedy, and Cerena.

 

In his personal time, Dr. Edmonds cherishes spending quality time with his family, whom he considers one of God’s greatest blessings in his life. He also enjoys traveling, experiencing new places, and creating lasting memories with his loved ones, embracing moments of rest and renewal. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoys cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles.
